Zanpakuto: Reimei (meaning "dawn")
Zanpakuto personality: Reimei has a really close relationship with Yumi: they're like siblings. (Since Reimei is a female Zanpakuto, Yumi likes to call her "Onee-san" ["Big Sister"] sometimes.) She's just like her wielder: calm, serious, understanding, and supportive. She never pesters Yumi, never whines/bitches about anything, rather keeps it inside and let it build up until she can let it out in a battle. Maybe that's the reason why had Yumi been hardly defeated so far.
Zanpakuto appearance: About five spans long, flawless Zanpakuto: Yumi takes good care of her. The grip is straight, black, wrapped around with a light brown (or gold-ish) ribbon. The hilt is a triangle, decorated with tiny swirls, Yumi says they resemble small snakes chasing each other. One edged sword, perfectly sharp.
Scabbard: Yumi had her scabbard customized in the real world, a long time ago. It was meant to resemble the night sky, with small stars and moons made out of an alloy of silver. Around the end, she had also included a small image of a bow, to symbolize her name.
Zanpakuto spirit appearance: Reimei is, as I have already mentioned, a female Zanpakuto. She has long, dark green hair and light green skin with eyes of the exact same shade as her hair. She wears a white dress with a high, tight collar, long sleeves, and long skirt what brushes the ground, and a cream-colored scarf wrapped around her mouth.
Zanpakuto ability: Reimei, if released (what is really rare), is able to fire a beam of green light, what binds (temporarily paralyzes) the opponent (or if the beam is stronger, injure the person badly), so Yumi only needs one good blow to finish the fight. Though she finds this really unfair and it really tires her out, so she uses it only when the situation is really getting serious. It had already happened some times that her comrades found her passed out next to her dead opponent: they knew it meant that she had used Reimei's ability.
Shikai: In the Shikai form, Reimei grows to the twofold of her size, both horizontally and vertically, and starts to slightly glow in green as it automatically starts charging the beam. Yumi has to go out of Shikai state in two minutes if she doesn't want to fire it, if she wants to, the longer she waits the stronger the attack will be. Her limit is three full-power shots per fight.
(If can use)Bankai: Yumi is really afraid of the possible consequences, so she would never even try achieving Bankai. If she would, Reimei would be able to keep firing the beams, even create a net or cage out of the beams and destroy everything what's inside it.
Fighting style: Yumi doesn't have a definite fighting style: she mixes everything she has, Zanjutsu with Kidou and hand-to-hand fight, literally everything. Since her body can't take many hits, she tries to reduce the hand-to-hand combat to the minimum, and use long-range attacks. Even though her aim is far from being perfect, she mostly uses easy Kidou spells, then attacks with the sword, and if it's blocked, hand-to-hand, and a spell from closer. She continues it until the opponent lets her close enough to land a direct hit.
Best skill: Her power is balanced, she has no overly good, nor really weak skills. She considers her combinatory skills to be her biggest aid in a fight: her brain figures everything out really fast, after the first ten minutes she knows just about everything about her opponent's style. If they can't just pull out a new skill in the middle of the fight, they hardly stand a chance.
Worst skill: The fact that she's so fragile is her worst quality. She can't land a decent punch nor can take one: a direct punch from someone of Ichigo's class would send her flying, one from Kenpachi's class would most likely kill her right away. That's why she concentrates mostly on defense when she gets close to an opponent.
Intelligence: Yumi is really smart, has a broad vocabulary, and always is respectful and cultured. She uses everything for her own good if she can, the first impression is one of her most surprising weapons: most enemies get overconfident as soon as they see her and go easy on her. This is how Hoshiko almost got killed while sparring for the first time: she had gone easy on Yumi.
Other: Yumi is quite a sneaky fighter, she's really fast to figure out the enemy's weak spot and from then on attacks that ruthlessly. She also attacks from the craziest angles and with crazy speed, just to confuse the enemy and make them leave an opening somewhere: then she finishes with a direct hit.

Appearance
Looks: She's tall and thin: every single part of her looks weak and fragile, even more than Hoshiko. (Hoshi gained some of her weight back since her death and became only a little thinner than the average.) Yumi always looks tired and sleepy, sometimes even blank, like she forgot that there ARE muscles in her face.
Height: She's about 174-76 cm tall (a little taller than Ishida but shorter than Ichigo.)
Weight: About the same as Hoshiko, maybe a little heavier due to her height. (She's sometimes confused for a sibling of Rukia, what she only snickers on.)
Body type: Dangerously thin, little breasts and basically no notable curves. She never really wears anything revealing, she thinks it would freak people out.
Hair/Eye color: She has extremely long, black hair with long bangs (a thick strap at each sides of her face and one above her nose), tied back in a long, high ponytail (reaches around her waist or butt). Her eyes are black as well; this makes her look kind of vacant, like she's constantly daydreaming (what's partially true).
Outfit (normal, formal): She wears a standard Shinigami outfit, only difference is that the sleeves once got thorn off in her first fight against another Shinigami, so she sewed them back loosely. Now there's a zig-zagging pattern around the top half of her upper arm and the sleeves got longer so they partially cover her hands. She always wears her scabbard attached to her left side by a leather band.
Other: She varies the color of her hair-tie by her morning mood: bright, warm colors mean she's feeling unusually cheerful, black means "run." She usually wears the grey or yellow one.

Personality data
Personality: Yumi is very calm and silent, she rarely talks if not asked, but if she does, she always says something important, and rarely blabbers or jokes. She's understanding, a good listener, and reliable; only a few dislike her. She always tries to suit herself to the one she's currently with, for example with her captain she's calm, collected, and serious, with her friends she's kind, nice, and smiles almost constantly, with her subordinates (or immediate superiors) she acts tough, strict, and sometimes even cruel. She's respected for this quality of hers; she's often referred to as Aoi-Goseki even by higher-ups. (Otherwise they could only say Aoi-San what she doesn't mind either.)
Motto: "A good sword is the one left in the scabbard.", or here, "left unreleased". Yumi strongly believes if she needs Reimei's power to defeat someone, she really didn't defeat that person, because they were strong enough to make her release her Zanpakuto, to defeat her but not Reimei.
Catchphrase: "I strongly believe it's none of your concern, thank you very much." her way of saying what Hoshi would say as "none of yer goddam' business."
Likes: Slow music (ballads), rain, when the annoying third seats leave her alone, when their captain is healthy, reading novels she picked up in the real world, a certain shinigami, etcetera.
Dislikes: loud, obnoxious people, blasting music, basically everything loud, except for battling hollows, what can get quite loud and messy in her style.
Good habits: She has many good habits: listens to everyone's problems, always tries her best to cheer them up, is always there for her friends, and… well, basically everyone who needs help. She always keeps secrets, due times, order (often cleans up Hoshiko's room too, what she's overly grateful for.).
Bad habits: It's really hard to get her attention once she had gone into the "daydream" state, she sometimes drifts off and even sometimes mixes reality with her daydreams (if you know what I'm talking about, think of J.D. from Scrubs. By the way, this quality of hers is NOT modeled after him.) Also nail biting, sometimes until they bleed.
Hobbies: She doesn't really have any hobbies, at least none that many people know of. She enjoys photographing though, and sometimes also painting abstract paintings (maybe because she's not really talented, and she's afraid that if she would to attempt realism, it would turn out ridiculous.)
Fears/Weaknesses: She's really afraid of being worthless. (Seriously, she would never get upset for calling her any names, BUT worthless, lapdog, or something along those lines. That makes her lose her temper.) For weaknesses, the "glass-jaw", or basically the glass-SKELETON she has.
Strengths/Special abilities: Due to her smartness, she's able to confuse her opponents (or make them doubt their own abilities) with only a few words, and the fact that she can find weak spots rapidly.

Best friend: Undoubtedly Hoshiko. For second best, maybe Nanao or Rukia; they get along really well. She's also good friends with Himako and Tokiiro. She is in a pretty good relationship with Hinamori too, she was Momo's "shoulder to cry on" for a while.
Friends: just about almost everyone.
Enemies/Rivals: Maybe the only one she can't stand at all is Orihime, yet they're not openly rivals, just the tension it can be seen under the surface.
Crush/Lover: She has a huge crush on Ichigo, and she is not telling him not because she's afraid of rejection (not meaning she's not), but because she thinks it's so damn obvious that it's just matter of time till he notices.

History
Past: Her past is not very well known. The only thing they know about her is that she was born in South Rukongai, and was raised by a woman who could not have a baby on her own. This woman was with her until she turned seventeen, but afterwards, she somehow disappeared, nobody knows to where. She entered the Shinigami Academy a lot later, mainly because she had enough of being alone, and she would have really liked to become a Shinigami one day. She was studying hard the entire time, and she passed all her exams with A-s and B-s. (Though she forgot most of what she had learned back then, now she mostly fights from experience). She met Hoshiko there (they were roommates), they were best friends for all those years they have spent there (except for the first week, when they were at each other's throats: kind of like Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto from Naruto). Yumi immediately got accepted to the 13th division, without a seated position, but she quickly climbed up, until she got high enough to be only directly ordered around by the captain. (even though she obeys Kiyone and Sentarou, she thinks pretty little of them and dislikes them.) Since then Hoshiko and Yumi became a little more distant, but they still see each other a lot and they're still best friends.
Family history: Her family is unknown.

Ichimaru Gin: "Mister Scumbag Number Two", as she quietly refers to him.
Kira Izuru: Since Kira is kind of similar to her, she likes him very much (friendly way). They get along well.

4th division:
Unohana Retsu: Yumi looks up at her, mainly because even though she leads an entire squad, she could keep her feminity and softness, the male captains don't look down at her just because she's a woman. Yumi, if around men, is often asked to bring drinks or food.
Kotetsu Isane: Isane is one of her best friends. They always get along, agree on most things, they understand each other really well.
Yamada Hanatarō: Yumi always tries to calm him down after meeting Hoshiko, tries to reassure him, or stop him from stressing out on the smallest things. She acts kind of like a mother, and Hanataro respects her much for this.

5th division:
Aizen Sōsuke: She thinks of him as the biggest scumbag as the Soul Society- not just until then, but forward in history with about 50000 years. She had liked him at first, even found him attractive, but since he made her friend so miserable and pathetic, she vowed to take revenge sometime. (Like, spitting on his corpse and saying "you lost, Captain Scumbag", or something along those lines would be enough for her.)
Hinamori Momo: They're good friends, they get along well. Yumi is Momo's shoulder to cry on, and Momo is the person Yumi tells everything what bugs her after everyone told her everything.

6th division:
Kuchiki Byakuya: She holds much respect for him, yet she's still kind of angry with him for trying to execute Rukia. She forgave, though.
Abarai Renji: He's a bit too loud for her taste, but for Hoshiko's sake they still get along. Renji tells her many things he couldn't tell others.

7th division:
Komamura Saijin: -
Iba Tetsuzaemon: Again, for Hoshiko's sake. Yumi is the only one who knows both about Toki's and Iba's crush, and she would never tell it to Hoshiko, afraid that it would confuse her and break at least one guy's heart, if not both.

8th division:
Kyōraku Shunsui: She doesn't really like him because he slacks off from work and makes Nanao do everything, yet he's her captain's best friend, so she has to like him, AND he's a captain, so she has to respect him… she's confused in his case.
Ise Nanao: One of her best friends. Nanao rarely complains about her captain to her, they rather talk about books, or big questions of life(?).

9th division:
Tōsen Kaname: Before he left, she shared some of his views on justice, but him leaving made her reconsider everything.
Hisagi Shūhei: They're okay.

10th division:
Hitsugaya Tōshirō: She respects him much, both as a captain and as the father of two of her friends. Toshiro thinks she would be capable of much more than being a fifth seat, yet he would never actually tell her.
Matsumoto Rangiku: Always tries to drag Yumi out to drink with them, and Yumi tags along, but she doesn't really drink with them. She's one of the few sober ones who aid the others home.

11th division:
Zaraki Kenpachi: She finds him really intimidating, would never disagree with him.
Kusajishi Yachiru: She doesn't approve of the fact that they made such a little child a vice-captain, Yumi feels really protective over her. She sometimes baby-sits her if Kenpachi asks her to. (About once a week.) (A/N: When he goes to see his girlfriend ^^ Who has to get it, will get it, I hope )
Madarame Ikkaku: Loud, bloodthirsty, obnoxious, kind of repels her, but she never voices her opinion.
Ayasegawa Yumichika: They get along well. Yumichika often asks her opinion, because he knows she would be honest but not hurtful. (Their nicknames are the same as well ^^)

12th division
Kurotsuchi Mayuri: One word: yikes.
Kurotsuchi Nemu: Yumi feels sorry for her, but nothing more.

13th division:
Ukitake Jūshirō: the person she thinks the most of. She always works to make him proud, and sometimes even does the necessary things while the third seats are arguing.
Shiba Kaien: She would have loved to meet him sometime, yet she knows it's impossible.
Kotetsu Kiyone: Yumi sometimes does things like bringing tea for Ukitake while she's arguing with Sentaro over who should do it, this is a quality she dislikes, yet she admits that one could never have a better subordinate than Yumi.
Kotsubaki Sentarō: Same as Kiyone.
Kuchiki Rukia: They're really good friends, and often mistaken for siblings. (They can only giggle at this) Yumi is really like an older sister for her, their friendship is really strong.

Urahara Kisuke: She's always polite and respectful with him since she had read about what he did 150 years ago and understood why he did what he did; she still sometimes calls him "Urahara-taichou".
Shihōin Yoruichi: Yoruichi is one of Yumi's greatest idols, that's why she decided to wear a high ponytail in the first place. Although common sense doesn't allow her (not to mention she's too embarrassed to do so) to bow to a cat in the open, she really adores Yoruichi.
Ururu: Yumi is really good with children, an Ururu reminds her of her past self, that's why she tries to take good care of the girl. Ururu is grateful for that, she likes Yumi really much.
Jinta: She often refers to him as the "obnoxious little runt", never openly, but still.

Kurosaki Karin: She cares for both Ichigo's sisters much (again, she's really good with children), and vice versa: they both think she's good fun or nice.

Inoue Orihime: The only one she actually dislikes a lot, and have told her feelings. Since they're kind of rivals, it's only natural they're not best friends. They're not openly enemies either, just… there is some tension under the surface (mentioned above)

Natsu Hoshiko: Best friends since the academy, they know each other like their own palms. Yumi's the only one who Hoshiko entrusted with her secrets, the only one she had ever cried in front of since she became a Shinigami.
