.:Flowers and Stripes:.

This is my contest entry to *Kyun-Kyun's contest, where we have to design a new dress for her OC, Allison. She's a great mannequin, btw, I had a lot of fun working with her. Wish me luck!
(I chose not to shade so the colors show better.)

A couple words about the dresses:
For the main theme, I chose flowers and stripes, as the title shows. I'm currently high on natural symbols and half-updos.
1.) At this one, I went with a simpler, girlier approach, inspired by early spring- namely how violets pop out from underneath the snow. Light-hearted, cute, more of a cocktail dress. I can best imagine it at a garden party. The slightly crunched front pronounces her chest.
2.) This is a formal dress, inspired by orange mousse-filled dark chocolate. Which is firetruckin' delicious, by the way. This might be my favorite. Classy, elegant, but still a little boheme. The empire waistline makes her look slimmer.
The orange parts should be made of satin or silk. <3
3.) And last but not least, this is a kind of casual approach. It's more or less inspired by a gorgeous qipao I saw while researching kimonos, so to me, it has a bit of a "Chinese spring" feel.

TL;DR:
Being sick sucks, but at least I could draw. -A- Oh, and I hate how linearts always lack the rythm my sketches have.
